"Lady M" is running but a small problem she is running a bit lumpy, if l pull out the choke she rune's a bit better, Has for the oil light l fitted a new switch,now the oil light's working as it should.

Thank again all of you for your help, l will post again when she is all good, ( l am going on a drive it day with my club, l know one of them will want to have a look a her tomorrow).

Update we did a two and a half hour drive yesterday, when she is warmed up, we have a bit of rough running ,when we got to Dover the and l had a look at her did some adjustments to the carburettor and the distributor got it running a bit better, but she is still losing power on hill or inclines, if pulling the chock it some times gave her a bit more power, l am going to ring my son -in -law and so he can put it on he's meters.

I would re-check plugs and points and mixture, maybe just a bit out of tune.....................

Took the old girl to the Son-in-Law's garage and got her returned, look's like the Distributor is a bit worn out, so it looks like a new one, running ok at the moment.

did your mechanic give a reason to indicate a worn out dist.

Age more than any thing, top a lot of play and the centre spindle as also play so then it rotates, the points don't open as they should.
