Due to rear indicator lights (1966 saloon) being a bit dim swopped the bulbs over with LED's with big improvement.
Only thing is the green flashing light on indicator stalk does not work, swopped back to ordinary bulb and works.
I knew LED's were a bit iffy with modern cars but thought would be okay with an old Morris, is this the norm ?
Was going to an LED bulb in indicator stalk to see if this overcomes but the green lense is super glued on, another job !!!!

Yes you're right LEDs create problems by not draw enough current to trigger mechanical flashers.
An electronic flasher unit is required ,some thing like this , as an example , there are other suppliers.

I had the same issue several years ago and wondered why people were constantly hooting at me. It was only by chance that a workmate was driving behind me on his bike and at the traffic lights he said to me that the rear indicators were difficult to see in the sunshine. I thought aha!
I replaced the standard bulbs with LED's and resistors but wasn't happy. I then fitted halogen bulbs and now you can see them for miles even on the sunniest days. LED'S have improved dramatically since then but I will keep my halogens and no need to change any relays.

Tried the halogen bulbs but not as good as the LED.
Will error free bulbs overcome or is it the flasher unit option.

I'm no expert but I think it's an LED bulb with built in resistor that stops it interfering with the cars electrics.
More modern cars with onboard computers are more prone to problems, error codes appear on the onboard computer.

Fitted an electronic flasher unit and now working fine.
Prior to that I replaced the indicator stalk bulb with an LED version and it worked fine with the old flasher unit.
Have kept the electronic one fitted since it has the 'clicking' reminder when indicators are activated.
