Misfire and white spark at the plugs
I thought changing an ht lead would solve my misfire problem when there was clearly no spark on one plug but maybe I had two problems at the same time. The engine runs fine for a few minutes then develops a misfire and the spark at the plugs is very pale. Is this a condenser problem, perhaps? I didn't notice burnt points when I checked the gap but it was getting dark. Any ideas appreciated.
Re: Misfire and white spark at the plugs
As you say you might have two problems on the go. Certainly re examine the points in daylight , burnt points indicating a duff condenser maybe.
I'd go through the whole ignition system looking for other sources of the misfire. With the HT leads numbered , so they can be replaced correctly , remove the distributor cap complete with HT leads. You can check the leads , sparks and coil , have a firm connection at either end and the connectors are also clean. With a multi meter , leads off of the car you can check resistance ( Ohms setting ). Inside the cap , no visible cracks in the plastic ? Connectors brushed by the rotor arm ... clean metal ? Is the carbon contact and spring , in the central position OK.
The rotor arm is another possible source of aggro. The slightly more expensive Red top Rotor arms are " money well spent " In my book.
If the rivet is loose on your present one and / or there is signs of blackening /arching this might be contributing. Clean the tip , back to clean metal by wiping / rubbing it on one of your tyres.
Look at / check the low tension side and when it's all back together ,make sure you are getting a fat healthy spark , against the engine block , whilst holding the king lead ( held in insulated pliers !! ) end a short distance away.
Come back if you need clarification / more detail.

with the risk of a bolt of lightning ,from him up there,I would change the coil for a known good one before looking at anything else, they do fail .

Re: Misfire and white spark at the plugs
1.Check your fuel pump - if it is 1st start use the chock and want to be some heat ur engine ( then not misfire ) if it is not
2. Clean sparking plugs well with inside carbon wash it some petrol - dont forget to clean the around the engine hole that set the pugs base
3. Check all ignition wires - remove them from the cup and clean - use multimeter to check wires
4.Check your ignition coil - and HT wire end in coil side
5. Use not rivet rotor arm
6.Check your battery - and earth connections
7. check your points gap
