Hi
Having seen a video on Facebook, I'm now paranoid about "them trunions"
I'd there a "virgin" guide to checking the front suspension on a Minor?
Thanks
Jim

Re: Checking Suspension
It is always a good idea to check the condition of the trunnions every so often as they can appear to be perfectly serviceable one minute and give way the next.
If you want to be absolutely sure about the trunnions - jack the car up and support safely - remove the top trunnion from the damper arm - wiggle the steering swivel fore and aft and see what play there is in the bottom trunnion (it is mainly the bottom trunnion that gives way).
If any play - strip further and if required replace the bottom trunnion(s) - making sure that the thread is good on the swivel because there is little point in replacing the bottom trunnion if the swivel threads are shot.
It can be done without disconnecting the top trunnion but a better result is found with the top trunnion disconnected. It is not a hard or long job to disconnect the top trunnion.
Use the search facility to find information regarding the swivels.
