Linered and bored to +030 before my ownership, I've just had it honed and the pistons replaced. I didn't mean the engine was in ex factory condition, I meant ex factory configuration. Not a patch on your spec, though - wow!

Many thanks for the reply.
As an aside:-
BMC/BL at one time went through a bad patch with porous blocks and to keep the production lines running resorted to fitting liners - so there was the possibility of a brand new engine fitted with liners fitted to a brand new BMC/BL car.
So food for thought with your engine.

Thanks for all the replies and info on the engine sounds like not just myself have benefited from this thread
will get onto dvlc and insurer with all details as disk brakes are on the front along with anti roll bar and servo.
