Clutch pedal return spring
I have fitted a 1275 midget engine and am trying to attach the clutch return spring to something . On the old engine the was additional land on the engine back plate with a hole in it to take the spring end on this engine the outer casing of the gearbox ang engine are flush , is it ok to drill a small hole into the engine back plate but not through and into the gearbox flange

Re: Clutch pedal return spring
No need to drill a hole just drill two holes in a piece of flat plate, use one hole to fit one end of the plate under a bell housing bolt (engine side) and put the spring loop into the other hole and jobs done.
