Hi,
I like this too, so I've just bought one to have a look through, a fourth edition, so it says in the advert. It will also look good casually left open on the passenger seat at shows.
I bet it doesn't include Milton Keynes (except in original village form).

I bought the fifth revised edition about eighteen months ago with the cover price of nine shillings and sixpence (less than 50p to the younger members!), exactly as your first and last link Mike. Paid about £2.00 at a boot sale though the cover isn't as good as these but still looks great.

That's a shame, but it happens to every S.II I suppose. After I rebuilt the engine with Rolf Corbat's by-pass filter adapter courtesy of Declan it was fine. But they're still not a particularly good car. I have an Oxford MO now, but still interested in Minors. For me it would indeed have to be a 948/1098 next.

Super / I briefly had an MO about 10 years ago and miss it. Does yours still have the 1500 side valve, or has it been 'upgraded' to a B series?

Great, they are a comfortable old bus and I have found it extremely reliable. Still sidevalve, a very flexible engine which I find powerful enough for long journeys avoiding motorways, to me it is a good strong engine of sound design. The difference in quality and engineering between the MO and the Minor is amazing. What do you think of them?

I loved mine for the brief time I had it - lovely relaxed engine (much smoother than a B Series, albeit less powerful!) and the same surefootedness as the Minor, but I found the car felt more 'solid' - hardly surprising I guess given its size! I also love the interior. My old one is now unfortunately in bits - an unfinished project, started by the chap I sold it to.

My fourth edition has now arrived and I'm very pleased with it. Wasn't Reading (where I come from) small back then, the M1 is just a proposal (blue line), no M25 and Milton Keynes has yet to ruin the Buckinghamshire countryside with it's urban sprawl......
Also there's an advert in the back, which I believe features a Morris MO.....
Does anyone have any idea what year these (or the editions even) came out?
