Quick question...
...Can 948 rounded lamp bases fit onto 1098 rear wings without any excess holes being on view? I've just collected a car that has the late 1098 rear lamp bodies and has a set of 948 ones in the boot. Would be nice to fit the earlier ones so long as the holes can be hidden.

Yes, the earlier lights will cover the later holes - in fact I think they will fit to the same holes! If you want the car exactly as original however, the earlier rear lights will be slightly higher up than they were on the original wings but that will not be noticed by many
