Went to the shop to buy a carton of milk, stopped at the Industrial Estate on the way there, accidentally bought two Minors, got home....forgot the milk.
I'd rather have a cup of tea than go through that hassle again! ------- remember laying on your back with all that rust falling off? Spending hard earned cash on crap parts? Fettling every bit to get a decent fit? Working through the night, annoying the neighbours? --------- not that I want to put you off of course!
One needs crushing and the other one is in good nick.
AAX773A and EAX316B. I think the second one was a re-import because it is a clap-hands car with old style pull start (MA2s5D 1030092 on the logbook!) and is dated as being first registered in March 64.
AAX is hopefully now pressed into a nice 12" square cube at the scrapyard. The other one is off for an MOT tomorrow so I'll get it home after that. The duotone interior has a couple of splits where the white bits have torn away at the seams. I rescued the identical seat covers from the other car to get enough bits to patch the seats up.
This is the exect reason i keep long life milk in the kitchen hidden away, i don't like the taste of it but its better than having non at all, and you can argue over the cars during a medium quality cuppa.
