traveller rear bumper blade

Post by estepona1999 »

A while ago I purchased a rear bumper blade for my traveller from a member. There is nothing wrong with the blade except it is shorter than the originals by over 50mm.I have left it too long to contact the member who sold me it but I wonder if the blades are shorter on either a pick up/van.Has anyone got a measurement for either so I can advertise it on here for the correct vehicle,it is in great condition, any ideas please .

I cannot think what would use a shorter but similar blade to a Minor Traveller (The van and pick-up don't have rear bumpers at all). Are you sure that the longer ones you have are correct? I ask this because I know that the Morris Oxford Traveller had very similar rear blades to the Minor Traveller but the Oxford ones were longer.

Hi and thanks for the replies. The longer blades have the correct holes in the correct place to fit onto the bumper iron, the shorter ones don't.Also the longer ones are new old stock and labelled for my car.I cannot work it out.I have messaged the guy who sold it as being correct for my traveller, not to complain but to find out what it is designed to fit !! Help !! I will measure both of the blades and post it here.

Ok I have jus measured the blades, the correct one measures 41.5 cm and the rogue one measures 38.2 cm,with the rogue one being shorter the holes are out by the same distance,so it can't be fitted. The new old stock states the traveller on the label, the other is a used item in very good condition, which is for sale if someone knows what it is off.

Perhaps the short one is for a Mini Traveller.

Definitely not Mini. The Mini Traveller rear blades are a very different design and bolted through a horizontal body flange. I really can't think what it is from :-?
