brake pain

Post by glee »

Hello. Brake pedal would sink to the floor when I pressed the brakes slowly - Ok when I hit the pedal harder. i changed the seals on the master cylinder. I have no leaks and the slave cylinders are not stuck but the problem remains the same. Help.

I would guess it is creeping back past the MC seals when pushed slowly , but doesn't get chance if you do it quick . recheck the bore and see that seals in the right way ?

Often the master cylinders bore is rusty/scored at the end . New seals are generally a false economy....

Surely having to pump up brake pressure means the shoes are in urgent need of adjustment.
