Hello.
Does anyone have a high-res image of the cream-coloured face of an early speedo? I need a copy, preferably in JPEG form from a printer/scanner, to change the positions of the numerals on the face to suit a car with larger tyres.
I have an original speedo here but I'd need to pull it all apart to get a good image and hoped someone might have saved the face off of a knackered gauge.
Thanks
Rob

Re: MM/Srs2 speedo image
Ah, thanks. I actually need it flat so that I can manipulate it as a JPEG image, like this...
Ideally it would be a face from a speedo that had been pulled apart for spares. I could do it to my own one but it works and I'd hate to break it if someone else had already got the face sitting on a shelf somewhere.[frame]

Are you sure your speedo was correct for the smaller tyres? They are notoriously optimistic (and a legal requiremment to read a bit high rather than low, if not accurate). Odometer will read incorrectly, if originally correct. Suggest you check it with a satnav, if you have not done so already.

Yes, all I need is the Jpeg since I can then manipulate it to do whatever I want. I had one for the original MM revcounter project but that file is on a dead hard-drive thing so I need a new copy of the MM speedo face to get the numbers since the font isn't available, plus it is easier to move stuff than to create it anew.

Hi Rob, you might have this sorted out already, but here is mine
its not the original, I can dig that out in a couple of weeks if needed, but its the exact same font and layout, just with a trip meter
let me know if its suitable, its a bit of a tight squeeze for the camera with the steering column in the way

Re: MM/Srs2 speedo image
Thanks, mate. Much appreciated.
I've just got back from Beaulieu autojumble where I picked one up to pull apart. Terrible timing, eh?
I collected my big MM brakes today so I'm going to busy with brakes for a while.
