I think my motor's oil pressure stabilized somewhat when I fitted a PCV system w/ valve. It also nearly stopped leaking oil entirely.

It does indeed reduce oil consumption and leaks - by removing the pressure from leaky piston rings in the crankcase.Can't see any connection to oil pressure though...
