Mystery object

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
Today's brain teaser..............
I found this at the bottom of a box of various spares that I acquired some time ago (but only just got round to sorting through  ), I have no idea what it is, so wondered if anybody on here recognises it?..............
Best wishes,
Mike.

I don't recognise it but it looks like either cast brass or Mazak that has stood the test of time, so, either a brass piece from a grille/tail-light lens or an internal part from some aftermarket toy?

It's not brass, I have scraped a small section of the inner face and it remains silver in colour. It is also very lightweight.

It looks like an old case corner, The sort of thing that protects a instrument kit i used to see in work shops, i was looking at it as the rounded part was more of a foot or base ? If only it had a name on somewhere :o
