green wires dash

Post by RussLCV »

Green wires on back of dash.

I am wiring electrics on my pick up and all complicated stuff pretty much in order however currently I have lots if green wires all joined together. So need some advice on where these go please. Some are double green wire and I have a green/black wire which is for the fuel gauge but which terminal?

A diagram would be useful

Thanks

Sorry no, I guess a test meter and lamp would help identifying individual wires. Sorry I cant be of any more help.

For the fuel gauge, try it one way and if it doesn't read right you change the 2 wires round.

Is it a new loom? If not, there could be any old colours added in. BS-AU7 is the UK spec for wiring colours.

IIRC, the T terminal on the stabiliser goes to the fuel gauge terminal that sits to the passenger (UK) side of the car, the green/black goes to the fuel gauge terminal to the drivers' side, the B terminal of the stabiliser is plain green (12 volts in).

Stab has 4 terminals but they are 2 pairs so only really 2 connections plus 2 spares.

I'd need more data and maybe a photo to tell you more, Russ. I've not worked on a post Series 2 car for many years so things are a bit hazy.
