Post by glen56 »

Hi, can anyone help I have just got a 1957 morris minor trying to find out the colour for touch up.
It says white on the log book but more like a cream or ivy

1957 pre-dates the use of "Old English White". The only off white shade available in that year was called simply "Cream". The original BMC code for this colour is YL.5 and it should be possible to get this mixed with a bit of shopping around.
This is the most likely original colour for your car.

Take a glove box lid along to a local paint shop (maybe Halfords?) and they will match the colour for you.
