Hi
Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the windscreen washer pump. Morris Traveller 1970 1098cc.
Thanks

Re: Windscreen washer pump
They don't have electric pumps. Theyve got a manual pump on the switch thing. Mines a very late one aswell.

Re: Windscreen washer pump
Power into the switch wants to be a green wire. Switch to pump can be any colour you happen to have lying about but green with atrace of another colour (yellow or blue) would make it easier for the next owner to understand). Other end of pump (Not switch...thanks Oliver) to a black wire or direct to earth.
As mentioned, it isn't a standard fitted item so you make it up as you go along. Green is a fused connection that only has power when the ignition is on. Black is earth. If pump runs backwards you reverse the connections on the pump.[frame]

Re: Windscreen washer pump
Thanks so much for that
It was working fine until it came back from its floor restoration, now it doesn't work but the radio switches off instead when the button is pressed?
I changed the pump and also cleaned the contacts, but I will suggest what you said and have another look at the wiring.
Many thanks
Mark

Re: Windscreen washer pump
If your having multiple problems after having some welding done did they disconnect the battery first before welding? The flasher unit could also be goosed too.
