Previous posts suggest several alternatives and N9Y seems to be the preferred... the workshop manual for Series II and Minor 1000 quotes Champion NA8 14mm 3/4 in reach set at .020-.022.
Is the N9Y more readily available than the NA8 ? .... NGK equivalent appears to be NGKB6ES.
Which of the 3 to best install ?

Re: Spark Plugs
The extended nose plugs are the modern plug to use. Yes - N9Y for a normal engine - DO NOT get plugs with an R (=resistor) in the code.

Re: Spark Plugs
But I use RN9Y on all three cars (1098cc) with good performance and no problems - standard leads, not modern resistor ones.
Re: Spark Plugs
And that's fine - but many have resistor leads + resistor caps and then the R plugs which can cause all sorts of problems when all grouped together. The poor wee spark can hardly make it to the tips!
