Hi. I am a recent mmoc member and have been looking for someone to complete the restoration of my traveller. Terry Norton (kent) contacted me through Facebook offering to do the work. I have no reason to doubt him, he seems to be a top chap, but I thought it prudent to ask if any other members have used him and we're happy with him and his work. .
Many thanks
Jools

Welcome to the messageboard. I've never heard of Terry Norton and can't recall anyone on here mentioning the name. Have you contacted your local MMOC branch to see if they know who he is?
Does he work for a company or is he self-employed? I'd personally be wary of someone I didn't know who approached me via Facebook (if I used it) and I'd be cautious about giving him my car to work on no matter how much of a 'top chap' he seems. There is some really useful advice here about the precautions to take when having restoration work done. Although it refers to the work being done by a firm a lot of the same points apply if it's an individual who is doing the restoration: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41608

The best work is always done by yourself and the pride that goes with it
