MGF seats installed in Traveller

Post by The vast minority »

In case anyone ever wanted to know.

MGF and TF seats fit a treat, you need to make subframes of course but the transformation to the drive and seating position is astonishing.

Seriously, after sitting in these TF seats, one wold not want to sit on a Minor seat ever again, as quaint and lovely as they are :D

These bespoke posh seats are destined for my other minor, a saloon. I'll be putting red leather MGF seats in the trav so, possibly one day I will sell the originals.

Are you looking for some good ones?

Eyup Roy,
Installed water temp when I put the engine in last month.

Moved the ammeter down a bit and will get a 3 gauge surround at some point.

Of course, with seats like that it now has to have a minimum 1275 engine, maybe even a V8.

Gotta get to Grangemouth for work on Thursday so will go via Annan and then yourself on the Wednesday afternoon.

Al, sometime over summer I'll be having a go at fitting MGB seats in my Trav (I'm doing the whole interior - late MGB seats have headrests and tilt and recline, and Newton Commercial supply covers which match everything else). I'll need to knock up some subframes rather like yours - how have you found the effect on access to the rear?

It is very tight now, it would be a struggle for anyone other than a thin kid to be honest.

I won't be taking back seat passengers

Thanks. Could save on the cost of rear seat belts then!
