I'm doing a rebuild on the rear hubs and brakes, all in hand, parts ordered crossed threads cleaned up etc.
The back axle is not too bad, it has a bit of an oil leak from the pinion and around the joint, slightly noisy although that might be a worn wheel bearing I found. At some point I'd like to replace the spring bushes with poly bushes, but they're not noticeably worn from the outside. The dampers are mucky but still seem to work fine
What do you think? "Whilst I'm at it" I might as well do the job, or leave it well alone as it's not giving any serious trouble?

Change the oil and leave well alone..... Just check the breather is clear - and poke clear the wee drain holes in the backplates in case any oil escapes past the hub seals. And drain/refill the dampers with sae40 oil - you won't be disappointed!

I can recommend replacing the bushes in the springs- they looked fine on line but the feel was much improved after the change. not as noticible as the front eyebolts though.
I ended up restripping mine a second time to grease due to annoying squeaks. on my experience I would grease when fitting
