SU fuel pipe
Have just dislodged the small flexible tube between float chamber and jet. Put it back, but what holds it, an olive? Rather dangerous as just above the exhaust manifold!

Sorry, I forgot to mention, meant the join at the jet end not the float chamber end.....

Manifold is much less a problem than sparks, unless glowing red hot. Once had inlet connection remove itself from a carburettor. Car filled with fumes and I switched off immediately. Even after we rolled off the Tring bypass (this was barely a 2 mile stretch of down-hill morway in 1977) the fuel was still boiling on the engine. A very close shave as we were, shall we say, motoring at the time!
