Adjusting the Tappets ----too ingrained to start calling them rockers.
Well, they make a tapping sound, that'll do me!

On the manifold? Really?philthehill wrote:The pipe with the bolt in is where the PCD valve originally fitted.
So I'll be best of re fitting something to alleviate a build up in pressure, so a mushroom valve would do?

The tappers can be found in Cornish tin mines and they used to live on the remains of Cornish pasties

There is no pressure in an inlet manifold only a depression. Unless you are lucky enough to have a supercharger fitted.
What you have fitted is acceptable but a piece of reinforced servo vacuum pipe with two Jubilee clips to restrain the pipe would be better than the piece of yellow pipe currently fitted.

But would the original type valve be better still? Is it worth me searching for one?

Hi Phil, you are thinking of the Knockers, not Tappers. They even had a beer named after them! See http://www.skinnersbrewery.com/our-beer ... h-knocker/philthehill wrote:The tappers can be found in Cornish tin mines and they used to live on the remains of Cornish pasties
Cheers,
