MGB calipers.

Post by lankytim »

Hi all,

Do MGB calipers fit the Marina brake conversion? They're easier to obtain than the marina items.

Thanks!

yes they can fit and i did it for exactly the reason you point out i.e. the MGB calipers are readily and cheaply available.

they are not a straight fit and you can either modify the hub as i have..

or modify the caliper to clear the hub..

Service kits including new pistons in both chrome and stainless steel for Marina/Ital brake calipers are readily available.
The Marina/Ital brake calipers are very easy to overhaul/service provided the caliper piston is free.
New Marina/Ital calipers are available from ESM:-
