splitscreen REAR window removal.

Post by trabant »

Ok so I've taken the side windows out and the front screens can I heck work out how to remove the rear window out does it go inwards or outwards? Its a 1954 with a small rear window seal profile is huge on the inside tiny on the outside.

From memory I think they sit on the inside.

I had to cut my old rubber to get it out and replace with a quality new one. Don't go cheap though with the replacement, they really are a poor quality fit.

Only take the front out if you really have too.

I've already taken the front out I've done those before and never had any problem getting them back in. The secret I've found is a 1978 servis twin tub..... Fill tub set dial to boil place seal in tub for a good ten mins until its good and hot dry quickly fit glass and install. Odd one but it works for me.
