Oil pressure relief valve

Should the bullet-shaped valve part of the valve assembly come out with the spring or does it stick inside because of the oil?

It is separate from the spring, try poking a piece of dowel down to see if you can wedge it in the seat to remove it.

As above - the dowel handle from my valve lap tool fits perfectly. Wee wiggle and it's out.
