Protecting the inner wings.

I'm currently restoring a 68 Traveller of which the bodywork in now repaired. I will be spraying the car in cellulose paint however I want to ensure that I provide plenty of protection to the hidden areas such as the inner wings.

What is the best protective paint / underseal to use? I am looking to create a good usable Traveller not a concours car hence I don't mind that it will be a textured finish but ideally I would like to over spray it in cellulose body colour. Once complete I will also wax protect.

Any advice much appreciated.

You can buy aluminium inner wing guards for the front wings from Lokari, these have been hand made in Germany since the 1960's

They have them listed on eBay. Search lokari morris Minor. Their website gives more information on the liners

I'd suggest injecting wax into all the cavities. They can rust very well from the inside outwards!
Is that what you mean by'wax protected'?

Stone chip is the norm - after seam sealing of course.
