took Maude's face off this afternoon and tomorrow morning she says bye bye to her engine.
I'll be fitting a midget 1275 over the coming weeks as I fettle and fix and paint stuff.

Anyone got an excellent front panel they want to sell me?

I believe that's how it used to be but the system is now supposed to auto size them but doesn't work see below


This is a trial. No guarantees about it working etc....
jpg files only. Other formats will not work.
Big pictures take a long time to upload!
and won't stay big for long. Anything bigger than 640 pixels wide or high will get resized. This seems to be a reasonable size for a screen.

Pictures will not stay on the server for ever, and users will not have unlimited space available. Times and space will be determined depending on how many people use the facility.

Signature pics can bu uploaded from the profiles page. These will be downsized to fit in a 640x130
In short, this isn't a place to store all your digital pictures at maximum resolution! Its just to make it easier to add useful or interesting pictures to postings. None of this is compulsory, its just to help people put pictures up without hassle.

The auto size facility does work, but if photos are too large to begin with it takes so long to resize them that the message is 'timed out' before the photo is uploaded, resulting in a blank screen. If you just ensure that your photos are small sized before posting there are no issues.

However, I cannot concur.
From your statement, one concludes that there is still a very limited max file size to enable the resize function to "function"

If one must resize in order to suit the resize function then it's pointless

The problem of re-sizing at the MMOC end goes far deeper than you think. The solution is easy and free, just re-size yourself to 640 x 480. You can download for free the software to do this.

They upload very quickly at 640 x 480, and it only takes seconds to do it.

Well done - I did all that sort of thing - and some pot welding repairs -20+ years ago when I got the Trav - it was a mess. But 20 years have taken their toll i guess. Roy

20years is a long time in the life of a car which was probably expected to last perhaps 10 when it was new?
It is only by looking after them well that they last these extended periods of time. Lets hope after this next lot of attention it will last another good few years
