Firstly I apologies if this subject has been covered before, I have tried to find the answer to my problem but was unable to find it, so here goes.
I am new to this forum so please try to bare with me, I will do my best to explain what the problem is.
I have just finished rebuilding my 1098 engine and have just converted a 948 gearbox which now has the earlier 805 gearstick housing. The question is what clutch and flywheel assembly would need to be fitted , eg; a 948 clutch and flywheel or the 1098 clutch and flywheel of which I have both ? I also have both types of backplates , the thick solid steel version and the thinner pressed type. So I would be really most grateful for any advice that would point me in the right direction on what would be the best combination of clutch , flywheel and backplate to fit please ?
Hope all the above makes sense ,
Tony

Re: What clutch assembly ?
I would use all the 948 bits - to suit the gearbox. So 948 fly + clutch + backplate + gearbox. If you use the 1098 bits - then you will need to use a 1098 release fork and release bearing in the bellhousing.
