max angle for wiper
i would guess the angle, the wipers do on the screen, is not more then 90 degrees on my 61´ RHD saloon. Can someone please tell me witch gear could be max installed to get more cleaned surface on the screen? i saw, there are several available. Would be fine if someone can give me a hint.

I find the clap hands generally OK except when caught in exceptionally bad rain. Then I stop and wait until it passes.

Re: max angle for wiper
It's a long time since I had my 63 van with clap hands wipers but as far as I can remember I fitted extendable wiper arms and 12 inch? blades. I staggered them slightly so that they did not hit each other. They almost touched the top of the screen and left a lot smaller unwiped triangle in the middle of the screen

Re: max angle for wiper
Tank you all for your comments. What i was thinking of is to change the gear in the wiper motor from a 90 degrees one to a greater one. Just looked, the smallest should be 100 degrees. There are 105, 110, 115, 120 and up degrees gear sets available. Is it worth a tryout to buy a 105 or 110 degree set?
Re: max angle for wiper
I think you will find that in decent rain (ie nice wet screen) and with the engine running - so 14 volts at the motor - they will wipe satisfactorily. The sweep angle is a factor of both the motor gear - and the wheelbox wheels. Maybe later wheelboxes have been fitted ?
