I always find christmas a bit commercial as i grew up around shops, I tend to buy all year round for friends and family and avoid the mad rush, so i agree with waiting for the sales and and putting things away, last year B+Q were selling commercial sized christmas lights for £50 - £100 and after christmas i got them for £3 - £15. maybe i am a bit humbug

Thanks to the TV adverts, I'm usually fed up with Christmas by the middle of October. Maybe it should be re-named the "Mid-Winter Festival of Consumerism".......
