what thickness of foam is needed to refurb a later type heater :-?

At the end she replaces the foam, it may give you a idea of the thickness required.

I know it was a few years back that is link was posted but I found it very interesting. I hope to find a second hand heater for my 1961 4 door Morris assembled in cape Town engine, no 9MUH 324775 yes I live in Cape Town and I am a newbie and only signed up a few days ago. You guys are all extremely helpful. Many thanks
