Hello everyone, I have been offered a 1963 morris traveller which has been offroad since 2011.
The owner has to locate the logbook. He mentioned that he has had issues with the dvlc before because the numberplate did not match the chassis which I guess means the vin plate. Is this a no go area or something that can happen sometimes. I intend to do a full restore .

Re: Number plate and vin error
Probably means someone has swapped vin plates in the past, most likely to transfer a valuable reg plate off the car or to ring a stolen car.

Re: Number plate and vin error
The correct chassis number should be stamped on the engine compartment bulkhead which should match the chassis plate. Does this look as though it has been tampered with? If this is correct then you have the true identity of the car and you then have to get it registered
