Plug colour. Half tan, half cream

Post by 504ka »

Whipped my plugs out to inspect after doing a full service. Noticed that they are a half tan and half cream colour as can be seen in the photos. My question is; Is this normal? Engine is a standard 948 with 1/2 carb, elec ign and large lcb manifold. I know these are likely overkill but I have 1275 aspirations. Engine has not been dyno'd but it pulls and starts well, and is regularly driven at a brisk pace on the M'way.[frame]Image[/frame]

Happy days, thank you guys. I'm doing a fair few motorway miles so it's nice to have some reassurance.
