Mysterious Switch.........

Post by Andy W »

Enter The Twilight Zone.......

Found a "hidden" 2-way switch under the dashboard yesterday, just right of centre - it doesn't seem to do anything obvious - any ideas?
I don't recall the Minor van I had having such a switch, but then that was over 25 years ago & my memory probably isn't what it was.............

See if it will still start if you throw the switch.

Should be the panel lights. You'll only notice them in the dark!

It was put there to comply with blackout regulations which were in force when the car was designed

Your initial description didn't sound like panel lights but if it's this one, yes, it is http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... ght+switch

Yes, it is exactly that! :D

That's everyone, mystery solved.

I had only tried it in the daytime with lights off & now feel suitably silly!
