What is approx value of 1949 Morris minor

Post by Jaavolso »

I'm thinking of selling our 1949 low lamp minor , it has been stored for last 30 odd years. It is totally rust free, and very good mechanically just need a rough guide price on it.

It's a weird answer but it's worth what someone will pay for it !
I'd probably expect to see cars like this around the 5K mark but we'd need good pics and a detailed description etc to be accurate.

'Stored 30 years' could mean anything..... Is the engine seized - clutch frozen - brakes welded to the drums... tyres and brake pipes/hoses rotted to dust ..../ or has it been carefully started and moved regularly, all parts well protected and lubricated - interior kept fresh/clean/mouse free..? Chrome all shining and pit-free.... It all depends very much on condition - as with any car - but especially so with a car of that age. Pictures would help!

It was moved from time to time in storage. Engine was rebuilt about 20 yrs ago and started regularly since. Clutch and brakes not seized , interior seats and carpets are perfect ,a lot of new crome parts fitted. The only bodywork that needs to be done is the roof that has little pin hole like marks on it . Car was re sprayed before it was put in storage. Totally rust free .

Check out the MM register. Surely that chassis number as quoted makes it a 1950 car. Probably around March '50 built.
