NO - you need sleeve nuts with a thick flat washer which seats on the flat land in the wheels. . The sleeve locates the wheel on the stud..... What make of wheel ?
Hi,I know the wheels fit at least and
So I'm told are made by wolf race ????.
I was going to restore them to the best
Of my ability .so can anyone recommend
A shop or online where I can get the correct
Nuts please?

Hi all, thanks for your helpful replies.ive changed my mind and will keep them original for now.if I change my mind it will be a new set off minilites or replica equivalent .jlh looks to be the place to get them
Regards
John
Indeed they are - Wolfrace wheels are sought after (and they polish up nicely with the likes of Autosol and much elbow grease) - but you do need the correct sleeve nuts for them.
Your wheels look identical to mine!
I bought mine new in the early 70's from a Company in North London, John Brown Wheels, called Midland Metallics.
I have them fitted with a 175 tyre, they use a large (thick) stainless steel washer under a stainless steel nut which locates the wheel with a shoulder as described by BMC
