carb swap?
My 1958 moggie has a 948cc engine with an H-type carb. I have had to do a repair (see my post elsewhere) of the float chamber lid to seal a crack. I am now having trouble replacing the cap/seal that goes on the top of the lid and seals the retaining bolt (the gasket between lid and chamber is not a problem). Given the problem I've had with spares so far, I'm wondering if it might be a better idea to bite the bullet and replace the entire carb with the later H2. What do people think?
