Re: No revs
Welcome!
Oil level low in the dash pot? Has the car been off the road a long time, possibly seized linkages on the carb

Too many Minors so little time.....
Re: No revs
If it's only '100' then not surprising - it should be 1000. Take it back to the seller! Did you not test drive it before buying ??? Could be many many things - from the simple - to a ruined engine. We need a lot more information...

Re: No revs
Yes its been stood for 18 years so I will check thank you, throttle cable is there lol and no I didn't test drive it as its off the road at the minute
Re: No revs
My bad it was ment to say 1000, what other information do you need?
Re: No revs
Just about everything! Does it run on 'all four' or is the idling very rough? Could be - oiled plug/HT leads wrong order/stuck valve/carb piston stuck - or even a blown head gasket. When did it last run ?

Re: No revs
A video would help a lot.
Take the air cleaner off and try lifting the piston you will see in the carb with your finger, I suspect it's stuck.

"Once you break something you will see how it was put together"
Re: No revs
You could get someone to look under the bonnet to see if the linkage to the carb is turning when you press the accelerator pedal, if it's moving then, as others have said check the carb piston is not stuck.
Re: No revs
Sorted it now thanks, the carb was stuck
