Engine number definition

Hi,
I thought it better to separate this from another topic in which I originally asked this question, as it is really a different subject:
So, out of interest, can someone tell me what my engine number actually means??
All I can deduce from other sites on line is that the '12CC' part of it was a designation issued to 1275cc Sprite / MG Midget engines destined for the 'home market'.

My full engine number is: 12CC DAH 1175

What does the DAH 1175 part of it stand for?
