After a few weeks deciding what colour im going to do the traveller im restoring i couldn't decide between black or the original smoke grey,so i made the obvious choice, dark bronze green!!A military colour i believe?
Just noticed the colour in my morris minor companion book,it's a really nice dark, rich green.I believe after this green they went to a lighter more typical army green colour.Does anyone know the paint code for the dark bronze green? Thanks.
Can someone please tell me the paint code for this colour?

I thought bronze green was the colour that the engines and gearboxes were painted in?

It isn't a Morris Minor colour as such. It is simply the colour specified by the British Army for their vehicle fleet which once included Morris Minors. Minors supplied to the army were therefore painted in this colour but not any built for civilian use.
I have an original BMC paint book which lists all the colour codes offered on Minors but not Deep Bronze Green which would have been a British Standard colour. Any paint supplier should be able to mix it.

Its the colour most commonly seen on old Land Rovers! Minor engines tend to be a little lighter but very similar...
cheers
