Front hub bearings

I found some play on the front wheel,so I decided to buy some bearings.Payed for the best in stock,German ones.Fitted them only to find there was still play.So I took the bearings and hub to ESM for any advice.Thay informed me Thay was fitted right but the hub was worn.So I have refitted with another hub and bearings,still play.I am thinking of tapered bearings now any advice.Regards Chris.

Are the bearings the right way round? Are they 'C3' bearings - which have too much play? What makes you think 'German' is best ?? Very unlikely the hub is worn - even more unlikely that TWO hubs are worn....... This subject has been covered many many times - use the 'search' facility to read all about it.
