SII Cheesegrater Traveller in Partners in Crime

Post by Mr. A »

BBC1 Sunday coming.
486 UXR
Is it genuine?
Don't think so.
Bonnet is not properly latched at all times
Probably because a cheesegrater grill has been fitted to a Series V traveller which does not quite line up with the catch.
And masking tape has been applied to its wraparound screen creating the illusion of a split screen.
Note the wipers are parked all over the shop and all wonky like.
Not sure about the colour either.
And I bet it ent running on crossplys.
Wonder why the film company went to all that trouble.
Surely there are some SII travellers around that they could have hired in

In the trailer I saw the car was parked in the middle of a field with characters running away from it, usual film makers cliché for 'it's going to explode'. If they wreck it lets hope it's not a good or rare one.

There is a clip of it being driven through a wooden (stunt) five bar gate
We watched the clip on freeze frame and the screen shape is all wrong - no peak on the roof as with a SII
So-o-o-o disappointing for an anorak like me

The reg number shown is a fairly recent genuine issue as a replacement for a registration transfer, or where the original reg number couldn't be proven to the DVLA. Eg. barn stored car not on the DVLA register, and with no paperwork.
