heater hoses

Post by MoggyBlue »

Heya guys

I'm about to make an order for the required silicone hose to replace the slightly perished rubber ones currently fitted
I think I have found all the hoses needed. Well all but one
It's the hose going from the back of the engine through the bulkhead to the right side of the heater
I was wondering if anyone new weather I just need to buy a bit of silicone pipe or if I'm just being stupid and blind
thanks :)

I'm not sure I have a heater tap it's a 1098 only hoses on it is the 2 you can see, top hose and bottom hose with heater take off and that's it

Or is the cabled device the tap on my one? If so then yes the hose with the cabled tap
Trying to look at the Job lot you can buy from esm and it seems there's 2 of the heater hoses provided so I wonder if i just have to buy two of them :)

Your battery terminal is dangerously close to the restraining bar !!! Move it (ideally turn the battery round) away from the bar before you have an explosion/acid/fire!!!

Just rotating the clamp will move it away from the bar. Turning the battery can then bring the clamps close to the bulkhead, and requires the earth to be moved to the other side of the box in order to reach the terminal. Just can't win. Nice smart clamp bar and bolts :D

Lol ok thanks only recently fitted the new battery after a world of problems I've had but yeah ill move the bar down now

Also I squeezed my bypass hose to find it crunches as if it's filled with something could be half the problem I've been having where it was boiling the cooling system and it was spewing out the over flow pipe

Doubt it - blocked bypass improves the cooling!
