Hi,
To make it work you need the chrome strip to be applied to both sides. You need to ensure it's dead straight and dead center though............ I hope it's my imagination but at present it looks to lean slightly over towards the drivers side...........
Measure the top and bottom of the windscreen and mark the center point with a fine marker pen (thinners on a rag will remove this after).
Best wishes,
Mike.

Hi,thanks for the advice mike I'll have a look tomorrow and rectify if need be.i looked at it about an hour and I too thought it maybe not dead straight but as it's curved I had reflections on it.
If any eagle eyed person tells me it's a fake,I'll burst into tears and blame the seller lol

I had considered it when I had two bad windscreens, one with a crack on the left and one with the crack on the right. At that time I hadn't seen the video on cutting down a windscreen, so now I know how to do that, but it's still a trick.
Hi,thanks for the replies folks.i took mikes sound advice and put a chrome strip on the inside too.i like the look of it and as it has trafficators doesn't look to fake .im going to my local show Sunday and I will await reactions.i run this car on a budget and don't want a concourse example but try to use it about 3 times a week.i was tempted to fit a classic roofrack and putting a surfboard on for the local shows.something different I suppose

Be careful with roof racks - they can damage your gutters / paintwork.
Why not get a decent period hamper set and chairs to set it off, possibly some straw boaters................ strawberries and cream anyone...................
Best wishes,
Mike.
