I am going from Reading via Oxford to M40, A46, M69, M1 Jcn 21A. Hope to be at Leicester Forest East around lunch time on Friday. Watch out for green Series MM towing a trailer

On second thought, I might just take the A-roads straight up through Leicester, Newark-on-Trent, Doncaster and York. It's not like II'll be doing more than 55mph anyway.

Yes! You may not be doing more than 55mph but don't forget all the 30mph speed limits, traffic lights and learner drivers, you will be lucky to average much more than 30mph. Then there are all the stop start gear changes,braking and acceleration away from the lights.

I'll be setting off tomorrow morning so might see some of you on the way up. I'll probably take the A1(M) from South Mimms and avoid the M1.

spotted a few Moggy's heading North up the A1 yesterday,including a very nice Traveller towing a caravan
he wasn't far behind a Triumph 2000,also towing a 'van.
