What colour steering wheel for a 1967 Dove Grey Morrie?

Hi there

Does anyone know the correct colour for the steering wheel of a 1966 Dove Grey saloon.
The steering wheel is very faded and my body sprayer has offered to re-spray it in Dove Grey to match my car. Would this be the correct colour for it originally? It looks like a very faded greenish grey at the moment.

Would have been black originally with a matching horn button :D

definitely black. My first car was a dove grey Minor (1966) red interior black steering wheel

The only coloured steering wheels are flat ones fitted to the Series MM/II
