If you are using a diaphram clutch from the 1275 engine with the manual linkage from the 1098 gearbox you will need to extend the lever on the clutch relay shaft which connects to the clutch pedal by 1 in and reposition the linkage hole accordingly. This will restore normal clutch pedal pressure and travel. This is the easiest and cheapest modification

As above - hydraulic clutch is an unnecessary waste of money and effort.... Just modify the linkage - it's been covered many times. Use the search facility.

Some will argue that it's an expensive mod, but a 1275 coupled with the Sierra 5 speed and a 3.9:1 rear end makes for a really nice driving car on the highway.

I agree with 54woody. If you are using it as an everyday car the combination of the bigger engine and the Sierra gearbox transforms the Minor into a practical proposition in modern traffic. It's entertaining when a boy racer tries to overtake in his clapped out Nova and finds that he can't!
