wheel colour black or cream ?

Post by martin418 »

i have a 1955 s2 in black so it should have black wheels but it has cream ones on at the moment however i have a set of wheels all primed and ready to paint but i can't decide black or cream , the car is quite original but no show car and i like the cream wheel contrast but the black does make it look even more period , any ideas or personal opinions

My 1953 Series 2 came with Black wheels matching the body colour.
I did try a set of Old English White wheels but reverted to the original black.
Personal choice but I think that black wheels look "Right". :D

I agree. A Series 11 looks "right" with body colour wheels. It is one of their distinctive features I think :)

they are going to be black , having looked at a few pictures i think body colour wheels give the series 2 a real period look

And if you change your mind it's not a big job to respray the wheels.
