Somebody used to do a clutch release bearing based on a modern ball thrust bearing with lugs welded on. Does anybody know where I can get one now or do you have one I can buy?

Phil

Yes, I'm currently using one.
If this is what you mean:

Then the Morris Minor centre in Birmingham sells them. BUT you need to use it with a diaphragm clutch cover.

Thanks, Birmingham say they don't anymore but Frontline, a Midget company, do - so why don't they buy them and sell to us? Also ESM do. It is for a 1275 diaphragm clutched pick up but doesn't it work on the ordinary clutch? Did you have any issues fitting it or using it? I find the carbon wears because there is a light spring in the Midget cylinder that holds it on, rather than the Moggy spring pulling it off.

Phil

Yes, but mainly because of the pivot fitting on the Brum centre's Sierra 5-speed conversion bell-housing. My old unit kind of fell to bits after a few thousand miles as it wasn't centred ..........Did you have any issues fitting it or using it?

If you are using Midget bits then it's a different kettle of fish really.
